DUSHANBE, June 11, 2013, Asia-Plus -- Tajikistan’s fleet of agricultural machines now includes 28,000 various agricultural machines, but 30-40 percent of them have already outlived their service life, according to the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) press center.
The country’s fleet of agricultural machines now includes 11,700 tractors, including 2,400 track-type tractors, 2,500 seeding machines, 511 grain and fodder combines, etc.
“Only some 65 percent of these agricultural machines, including 963 tractor-cultivators, 541 grain combines, 2,912 tractor trailers, 3,547 tractor-drawn plows and other agricultural machines, now work in the fields, while the others have already outlived their usefulness,” the source said.
