DUSHANBE, July 24, 2013, Asia-Plus -- The number of individual entrepreneurs working on the basis of a patent has been decreasing gradually in Tajikistan since the new tax code was adopted at the beginning of this year.
“Over the first six months of this year, the number of such entrepreneurs has decreased by more than 6,000,” the first deputy head of the Tax Committee under the Government of Tajikistan, Ayubjon Soliyev, announced at a news conference in Dushanbe on July 24.
Meanwhile, the number of individual entrepreneurs working on the basis of a certificate has increased over the same six-month period by some 9,500, Soliyev noted. According to him, this means that individual entrepreneurs that had previously worked on the basis of patent have made shift to a certificate-based entrepreneurship.
Tajik tax official stressed that over the first six months of this year, the number of individual entrepreneurs has increased in Tajikistan from more than 187,000 to more than 194,000.
