DUSHANBE, August 12, 2013, Asia-Plus – Reconstruction of the southern part of the bridge across the Dushanbinka River (Saadi Sherozi Avenue) has been completed and it has been reopened for traffic, Suhrob Mirzoyev, the head of the road maintenance department, Dushanbe mayor’s office told Asia-Plus today.
According to him, the work on reconstruction of the northern part of the bridge began today and it is expected to be completed in two months.
The Dushanbe mayor’s office began reconstruction of the bridge across the Dushanbinka River in May and the city budget has allocated more than 14 million for reconstruction of the bridge and approach roads.
Mirzoyev further added that repairs to the majority of roads in Dushanbe are expected to be completed by Independence Day, which is celebrated in Tajikistan on September 9.
