DUSHANBE, August 30, 2013, Asia-Plus – The Tajik delegation took part in the meeting on the Raghoun power plant assessment in Washington, DC.
The First Deputy Minister of Energy and Industry, Poulad Muhiddinov, Head of the General Directorate of Geology, Azim Ibrahim, Barq-i Tajik representatives, as well as representatives of the Swiss company, Poyry Energy Ltd., French company, Coyne & Bellier, as well as World Bank representatives.
The meeting is one of the phases of work in the frame of the international assessment of Raghoun power plant construction.
A source in the World Bank office in Tajikistan told Asia-Plus that the meeting is part of the process of the project assessment.
The source noted: "These meetings, attended by technical experts from the Government of Tajikistan, the World Bank, independent panel of experts and consultants, is held regularly and goes on through the whole assessment process. The assessment continues and the World Bank will continue to provide intermediate data for the public as they arrive."
The source in the World Bank office in Tajikistan explained that the assessment on the construction of Raghoun power plant is not complete yet, and the timeline is unknown.
