DUSHANBE, October 1, 2013, Asia-Plus – Issues related to customs control over latent (unauthorized) re-export of goods will be discussed at the next meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Customs Services that will take place in Aktau, Kazakhstan on October 3, according to the CIS Executive Committee press center.
Heads of customs services from the CIS member nations are also expected to discuss introduction of common standards for customs declaration of passengers within the CIS area and simplification of the procedure of declaring goods moved by physical entities.
The meeting participants will also discuss a draft protocol on exchange of information necessary for determining and controlling the customs value of goods.
CIS heads of customs service will also outline the plan of actions for 2014 and endorse plans of work of the Committee of Heads of Law Enforcement Units and the Regional Communication Center for 2014, the CIS Executive Committee press center said.
