DUSHANBE, October 7, 2013, Asia-Plus Davlatali Saidov, Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State-owned Property Management (GosKomInvest) met with newly appointed Finnish Ambassador to Tajikistan, Mr. Niklas Lindqvist, here at the end of last week.
According to the GosKomInvest press center, Saidov asked Lindqvist to assist with attraction of Finnish investments for development of Tajikistan’s economy.
Tajik official reportedly outlines sectors like energy, tourism and agriculture, as areas of which could drive bilateral trade between Tajikistan and Finland.
Saidov also informed Finnish diplomat of the current investment climate in Tajikistan, preferences offered by the Tajik authorities to foreign investors as well as the scheme of cooperation with foreign companies.
Ambassador Lindqvist reportedly expressed readiness to take efforts to promote expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between entrepreneurs of the two countries and attraction of Finnish investments for development of Tajikistan’s economy.
