DUSHANBE, October 18, 2013, Asia-Plus -- Barqi Tojik reported that total electricity generation in September 2013 was 1,369 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) or 45.6 million kWh per day, according to the monthly report for October 2013, Monitoring and Early Warning in Tajikistan .
Electricity generation in September reportedly decreased by 8.4% (49.8 million kWh) compared to August 2013.
Electricity generation in September 2013 was 18 million kWh more than in September 2012.
Meanwhile, total electricity consumption in September 2013 reached 1,225 million kWh, which is 11.1% below August 2013. In September 2013, electricity consumption was 51 million kWh less than in September 2012 (1,276 million kWh).
In September 2013, 139.2 million kWh of electricity were supplied to Afghanistan, 73.7% more than in September 2012, the report said.
