DUSHANBE, November 12, 2013 Asia-Plus -- Tajik government has submitted the agreements with the governments of Kuwait and Thailand on the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income for ratification to the lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament (Majlisi Oli).
Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, says that relevant committees and commissions of the Majlisi Namoyandagon have already discussed and endorsed that issue.
The final decision on these agreements will be made at a sitting of the fifth session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the fourth convocation on November 13, Sultonov said.
Tajikistan and Thailand signed the agreement on the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income in May this year and similar agreement was signed with Kuwait in June 2013.
To-date, Tajikistan has reportedly signed the double taxation avoidance agreements with the governments of more than 30 countries.
