DUSHANBE, November 21, 2013, Asia-Plus -- Maliksho Nematov, Head of the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs (Committee) under the Government of Tajikistan, has met here with visiting representatives of Qatar Holding, Nabras (phonetically spelled), and Al-Ta’din, according to Committee department for international cooperation.
In the course of the talks, Nematov reportedly briefed Qatari guests on development tourism and relevant industries in Tajikistan, including construction of hotels.
A number of investment projects aimed at promoting development of tourism in Tajikistan, including the project for rehabilitation of the Safedorak skiing resort in the Varzob district, were submitted for consideration to Qatari entrepreneurs, the source said.
According him, representatives of Qatari companies showed an interest in construction of hotels in Tajikistan and promised to discuss the Tajik side’s proposals, including the Safedorak skiing resort rehabilitation project.
