DUSHANBE, December 3, 2013, Asia-Plus -- The first fifteen trolleybuses assembled in Dushanbe have gone into service along routes in the Tajik capital.
Director of the State Unitary Enterprise (SUE) Electrical Transport Assembly “Trolleybus,” Abdulhaq Aliyev says they plan to assemble fifteen other “Trolza” trolleybuses in the near future.
“Under an agreement between the Dushanbe mayor’s office and Russia’s CJSC Trolza (Saratov oblast), the trolleybuses are 90 percent assembled when we receive them,” said Aliyev. “The trolleybus, which is partially assembled in Dushanbe, costs some 128,000 U.S. dollars, which is 2,000 or 3,000 U.S. dollars fewer than the trolleybus assembled at the manufacturer in Russia.”
“At the second stage of the project, the trolleybuses will be 20-25 percent assembled at our enterprise,” Aliyev said.
According to him, 26 people now work with the State Unitary Enterprise (SUE) Electrical Transport Assembly “Trolleybus” and they plan to double the number of personnel during the second stage of the project.
