DUSHANBE, December 17, 2013, Asia-Plus – Over the first eleven months of this year, Tajikistan has produced a total of some 8.757 billion somoni (equivalent to more than 1.8 billion U.S. dollars) worth of industrial goods, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
Compared to the same period of 2012 the index of the volume of production of industrial goods amounted to 103.4 percent.
Processing industry has reportedly accounted for 68.7 percent of the overall volume of industrial goods produced over the report period, enterprises producing and distributing electrical power, natural gas and water have accounted for 19.7 percent and mining industry has accounted for 11.6 percent.
Of the 90 basic types of industrial products the output of 47 items (52.2 percent) has increased, and the output of 30 items (33.4 percent) has decreased in January-November this year. Thirteen basic types of industrial products (14.4 percent) have not been manufactured.
