DUSHANBE, December 24, 2013, Asia-Plus -- The remainder of loans provided by Tajik banks rose 44.5 percent in a year to November 30, 2013, reaching 7.4292 billion somoni, according to the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT).
3.0428 billion somoni were provided in loans in the national currency and 4.3864 billion somoni were provided in loans in foreign currencies.
The weighted average interest rate for loans provided in the national currency was 24.07 percent and the weighted average interest rate for loans provided in foreign currencies was 23.39 percent, Tajik central bank noted.
According to Tajik central bank, 143 credit organizations, including 16 banks, 37 microloan deposit organizations, 44 microloan organizations and 46 microloan funds now function in Tajikistan.
