DUSHANBE, January 3, 2014, Asia-Plus -- More than 628 million somoni (equivalent to more than 130 million U.S. dollars) went last year to financing modernization of Tajik industrial enterprises, according to the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies (MoINT).
An official source at a MoINT says this amount included funds from the country’s budget and foreign investments.
Meanwhile, only 215 million somoni were spent for modernization of Tajik industrial enterprises in 2012.
“In 2013, nearly 360 million somoni were sent for modernization of enterprises producing building materials, more than 155 million somoni were spent for modernization of mining enterprises, more than 36 million somoni were spent for modernization of enterprises of the light industry, and some 30 million somoni were spent for modernization of enterprises the food industry,” the source added.
