DUSHANBE, April 28, 2014, Asia-Plus – The exchange rate between the dollar (USD) and the Tajik national currency, the somoni (TJS), is continuing to rise.
In Dushanbe, the market exchange rate between USD and TJS increased from 1:5.03 on April 21 to 1:5.07 on April 28, with similar exchange rate rises in other parts of the country, according to the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT).
In Khujand, the capital of Sughd province, the market exchange rate between USD and TJ increased from 1:5.04 on April 21 to 1:5.09 on April 28.
In Qurghon Teppa, the capital of Khatlon province, the market exchange rate between USD and TJ increased from 1:5.03 on April 21 to 1:5.08 on April 28.
In Kulob, the market exchange rate between USD and TJ increased from 1:5.02 on April 21 to 1:5.08 on April 28.
In Khorog, the capital of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO), the market exchange rate between USD and TJ increased from 1:4.90 on April 21 to 1:4.97 on April 28.
In Tajikistan’s interbank currency market, the ecahgne rate between USD and TJ on April 28 was 1:5.0411.
