DUSHANBE, May 5, 2014, Asia-Plus -- The ninth meeting of the Tajik-Belarusian intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation took place in Minsk, Belarus at the end of last week, according to the Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan (MoA).
Presided over by Tajik Minister of Agriculture Qosim Rahbar and Belarusian Minister of Agriculture and Food Leonid Zayats, the meeting reportedly discussed state and prospects of further expansion of economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Belarus.
An official source at a MoA says the meeting participants, in particular, exchanged views on ways to expand bilateral cooperation between the two countries in sectors like agriculture, industry, education, health.
They also discussed issues related to expanding cooperation between the regions of the countries and strengthening legal foundation for bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Belarus.
The meeting reportedly resulted in signing of a protocol
While in Minsk, members of the Tajik delegation visited Open Joint-Stock Company (OJSC) “Minsk Tractor Works” and the Agricultural Complex “Zhdanovich,” the source added
