DUSHANBE, July 9, 2014, Asia-Plus -- By July 9, Tajik farmers have produced 360,000 tons of cereals, according to the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA).
An official source at a MoA says average cereal yields have amounted to 3.1 tons per hectare.
This year, 292,000 hectares have reportedly been allocated to grain cultivation, which is 23,400 hectares fewer than last year.
Last year, Tajik farmers reportedly yielded 891,500 tons of cereals from 315,400 hectares.
