DUSHANBE, January 6, 2015, Asia-Plus -- Tajik and Chinese geologists are reportedly carrying out joint exploration operations in Tajik areas bordering China.
The head of the Main Geology Directorate under the Government of Tajikistan, Murod Khol, told journalists in Dushanbe on January 6 that the Main Geological Directorate of Tajikistan and the Geological Survey of China are carrying out joint exploration operations on the basis of the memorandum on cooperation.
“Tajik and Chinese geologists are currently carrying out exploration operations in some border areas of the Murgab district in the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO),” Khol said Exploration.
“In the future, we plan to expand our joint exploration operations to other regions of Tajikistan as well,” Tajik chief geologist added.
The Geological Survey of China (CGS) is a government-owned, not-for-profit, Chinese organization researching China''s mineral resources. It is the largest Geoscience agency in China since being reinstated in 1999.
