DUSHANBE, January 9, 2015, Asia-Plus -- 213,265 foreign tourists visited Tajikistan last year, which is 5,000 people more than in 2013, Akhtam Abdullozoda, the head of the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs under the Government of Tajikistan, announced at a news conference in Dushanbe on January 8.
“Citizens of Iran, Afghanistan, Russia, the United States, China, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Germany, Japan, France, South Korea and some other countries visited Tajikistan last year,” Abdullozoda said.
He further added that the first international conference on development of tourism would take place in Dushanbe this year.
