DUSHANBE, February 6, 2015, Asia-Plus -- The National Bank of Tajikistan reports that an average market purchase rate of the dollar (USD) against the national currency, the somoni (TJS), has slightly declined over the past several days from 1:5.698 to 1:5.685.
On February 5, the average market exchange rate between USD and TJS was 1:5.68 in Dushanbe, 1:5.69 in Khujand, and 1:5.68 in Qurghon Teppa, Tajik central bank reports.
An official exchange rate between USD and TJS set by the National Bank of Tajikistan reportedly rose more than 0.3 percent – from 1:5.3746 on January 30 to 1:5.3902 on February 6.
Meanwhile, average market purchase rates of the Euro and the Russian ruble (RR) against the somoni have reportedly increased over the report period.
Tajik central bank says the average market exchange rate between the Euro and TJS increased from 1:6.0457 on January 30 to 1:6.1273 on February 6 and the average market exchange rate between the RR and TJS increased from 1:0.786 on January 30 to 1:0.0796 on February 6.
