DUSHANBE, July 1, 2015, Asia-Plus – Restructuring of the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) has led to redundancy of 197 positions.
According to information posted on the NBT’s website, they have taken into consideration principles that are widely used in international practice, including concord of the bank’s structures, the less number of personnel, improvement of quality of work, avoidance of duplication of duties, and prevention of corruption through rising responsibility and material well-being.
As a result of the restructuring, 130 positions have been reduced in the bank’s head office and 67 positions have been reduced in its regional branches.
All employees of the Tajik central bank will be vetted and the new structure of the National bank of Tajikistan will be introduced into operation in September this year.
The NBT’s head office will have a staff of 492 and its branches in the regions will have a total staff of 306.
