DUSHANBE, July 3, 2015, Asia-Plus -- The government is preparing amendments to the law on the national budget for 2015, under which equipment and building materials delivered to the country for construction of the five-star Ismoili Somoni Hotel in Dushanbe will be exempted from some taxes again.
An official source in the Tajik government says they will be exempted from value added tax (VAT), highway use tax and profit tax.
According to him, the draft law on amendments to the 2015 national budget law will be considered after the summer recession.
We will recall that last year, equipment and building materials delivered to the country for construction of the Ismoili Somoni Hotel were exempted from VAT and customs duties and the budget received 7.627 million somoni less.
Construction of 16-story Ismoili Somoni Hotel began in Dushanbe in 2006.
