DUSHANBE, July 30, 2015, Asia-Plus -- A relevant legal foundation should be aid for resumption of air communication between Dushanbe and Tashkent, Farida Yoqubzoda, the chairwoman of the Department for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Transport, announced at a news conference in Dushanbe on July 30.
She noted that the issue of resumption of the air communication between Dushanbe and Tashkent was discussed at the last meeting of the Tajik-Uzbek commission for trade and economic cooperation that took place in Tashkent in June this year.
Yoqubzoda stressed that the discussion of the issue of resumption of the air communication between the capitals of the two countries had been initiated by the Uzbek side.
We will recall that the air communication between Dushanbe and Tashkent was cut off in 1992.
