DUSHANBE, September 16, 2015, Asia-Plus – Over the first eight months of this year, Tajikistan has produced a total of nearly 7.2 billion somoni (equivalent to more than 1.1 billion U.S. dollars) worth of industrial goods, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
Compared to the same period of the last year the index of the volume of production of industrial goods amounted to 113.3 percent.
Of the 90 basic types of industrial products, the output of 47 (52.2 percent) has increased in January-August this year, and the output of 31 items (34.4 percent) has decreased over the same eight-month period. Twelve (13.4 percent) basic types of industrial products have not been produced over the report period.
