DUSHANBE, November 5, 2015, Asia-Plus – The National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) is currently working out an additional order on improvement of quality of services offered by Tajik banks and adequate conduct of transactions in foreign currency.
According to the NBT press center, the new document will be sent to the country’s lending agencies in the near future.
Tajik central bank head Jamshed Nourmahmadzoda recently met with senior representatives of operations departments of commercial banks to discuss the mentioned issues.
Speaking at the meeting, Nourmahmadzoda reportedly said that they had received complaints from citizens about low quality of services, artificial barriers created by bank employees, etc.
According to Tajik central bank, 136 lending organizations, including 17 banks, one non-bank credit institution, 41 microloan deposit organizations, 38 microlending organizations and 39 microloan funds now operate in Tajikistan.
