DUSHANBE, November 11, 2015, Asia-Plus -- Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev has reportedly signed a resolution on suspending allotment of land plots for construction of residential and nonresidential buildings beginning on November 12.

An official source at the Dushanbe mayor’s office says the resolution was signed for the purpose of ensuring improvement of the process of providing the city’s neighborhoods with engineering, infrastructure, transport and social facilities as well as ensuring observance of the construction requirements, safety of territories and preservation of cultural relics.

The mayor reportedly ordered the Dushanbe Construction Department to set up a working group jointly with the Committee for Architecture and Construction and submit the report on the further plans of redevelopment of the city until November 30.

Ubaidulloyev also ordered the Dushanbe Department for Architecture and Urban Development to prepare a draft resolution on updating the municipal redevelopment plan.
