DUSHANBE, November 23, 2015, Asia-Plus -- Over the first ten months of this year, the external trade turnover of Tajikistan, including electrical power and natural gas, has amounted to more than 3.5 billion U.S. dollars, which was 80.8 percent of the January-October 2014 level or 836.6 million USD fewer, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.   

Over the report period, the trade balance has been negative and amounted to more than 2 billion U.S. dollars.

In January-October this year, exports of goods have amounted to nearly 750 million U.S. dollars, 7.7 percent (62.4 million USD) fewer than in the same period last.

Over the same ten-month period, imports of goods into the country have amounted to nearly 2.8 billion U.S. dollars, which was 21.8 percent (774 million USD) fewer than in the same period last year.

In January-October this year, Tajikistan has had trade relations with 87 countries of the world, including ten CIS nations.

In January-October, major trade partners of Tajikistan were:  Russia – nearly 940 million USD; China – 608 million USD; and Kazakhstan – 590 million USD.
