DUSHANBE, December 22, 2015, Asia-Plus – The Main Geology Directorate under the Government of Tajikistan has hosted a meeting to review the results of work of foreign and domestic mining companies in Tajikistan.
According to the Main Geology Directorate press center, the companies has reported on the results of work carried out in 2015 and plans set for 216.
Thus, Gazprom International B.V., Bokhtar Operating Company B.V., Somon Oil, Edgo Energy C.A. reported on the results of their work on exploration and development of oil and gas fields in Tajikistan.
Gazprom International B.V. is an affiliate of Russia’s state-controlled company Gazprom. Gazprom now has licenses to explore two oil-and-gas reserves in Tajikistan: Sariqamish and the Western Shohambari.
Bokhtar Operating Company B.V. (BOC) is the operating company of Total, CNPC and KPL which undertakes the petroleum operations within the Bokhtar block located in the southern part of Tajikistan.
Somon Oil was founded by the Swiss DWM Petroleum. With its Headquarter in Baar, Switzerland, the company mainly operates in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and South America. Currently Somon Oil explores hydrocarbon in Zapadny and North-East areas located in Sughd province in north Tajikistan. The company got exploration licenses in 2009.
Edgo Energy is an independent oil and gas exploration and production company with capabilities in geosciences, petroleum engineering, oil and gas commercialization, marketing and upstream finance. The company focuses on prospective areas, mostly onshore, where effective oil and gas operations require local knowledge and established business relationships.
Besides, Aprelevka, China-based TBEA Dushangbie (Dushanbe) Co., Ltd, Bunyod+AA, Eximcom, Qulla, Sarvat, and C.A. Minerals, which are engaged in exploration and development of gold fields in Tajikistan, reported on the results of the past year’s work.
Tajikistan-China Mining Company LLC, Anzob, Qamarob, VTI-Pomir, and Huaxin Gayur Industrial reported on the results of the past year’s work as well.
