DUSHANBE, May 3, 2016, Asia-Plus – Tajikistan has reportedly increased expenses to cover costs for activities of its diplomatic missions abroad.
The national budget for 2016 has projected 141.8 million somoni for the country’s foreign policy activities, which is 47 million more compared to 2015.
This amount includes 125 million somoni (equivalent to some 16 million U.S. dollars) earmarked to cover activities of Tajikistan’s diplomatic missions active abroad.
30 embassies and consular representative offices of Tajikistan now function abroad.
This year, expenditures on the foreign policy activities reportedly make up to 1.0 percent of Tajikistan’s budget.
