The Asian Development Bank (ADB) clarifies recent reports that have mentioned ADB and its budget support program in Tajikistan.
On January 24, 2017, ADB and Government of Tajikistan entered into a financing agreement amounting to $50 million to support Tajikistan’s Investment Climate Reforms Program, Subprogram 2.
The program supports government-led reforms to help reduce costs of doing business, to strengthen protection for businesses, and to increase business innovation and productivity.
The Investment Climate Reforms Program is ongoing and the government is working towards its implementation in close coordination with ADB.
