On Tuesday December 19, President Emomali Rahmon and Dushanbe Mayor Rustam Emomali visited an exhibition of Tajikistan’s industrial goods, dubbed “Dushanbe-217.”
More than 50 companies are participating in the exhibition organized by the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies (MoINT), according to the Tajik president’s official website.
They have put on display their achievements in mechanical engineering, food industry, light industry (clothes and footwear), jewelry, production of building materials, etc.
The MoINT representatives reportedly noted that more than 820 industrial enterprises have been launched in the country since 2015 and they have created more than 20,000 new jobs. Продукция, выставленная на выставке, в основном предназначена на экспорт, сообщает пресс-служба главы государства.
The Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan says that over the first eleven months of this year Tajikistan has produced a total of nearly 17.846 billion somoni worth of industrial goods. Compared to the same period last year the index of the volume of production of industrial goods amounted to 121.9 percent.
