The Development Bank of Tajikistan has opened correspondent accounts in several foreign banks, including HDFC Bank (India), First Heartland Jusan Bank and Freedom Finance Bank (Kazakhstan), IBA-Moscow (the International Bank of Azerbaijan located in Moscow), Commercial Bank KYRGYZSTAN (Kyrgyzstan), and Interstate Bank.

The Bank says this move is aimed at improving its ability to conduct international transactions and strengthening economic ties with international partners.

It will simplify cross-border payment operations, and enhance the efficiency of financial operations for the Development Bank of Tajikistan.
