How the VAT increase in Russia will affect prices in Tajikistan

Tajikistan imports a wide range of Russian products; cartoon: Trofimov.Livejournal.com.Starting from January 1, 2026, the value added tax (VAT) rate in Russia will increase from the current 20% to 22%. The corresponding amendments were made to the Russian Tax Code. The main reason for this change is to finance defense and national security.
