DUSHANBE, December 15, Asia-Plus - Two persons were killed Wednesday, December 13, as a natural-gas cylinder exploded in Dushanbe.
According to Tajik firefighting service, the accident took place in the afternoon in one of private residential buildings in the Firdavsi district of Dushanbe. The fire that resulted from the explosion of the natural-gas cylinder destroyed the building completely, leaving only scorched walls intact.
“Householder, a 32-year-old Sharaf Atoyev, and his 3-year-old daughter Madina were killed by the gas blast,” Nazarboy Jangiyev, Tajik firefighting service chief, said in an interview with Asia-Plus Jangiyev, noting that such fatal accidents were reported in the northern cites of Chkalovsk and Taboshar last week.
