DUSHANBE, January 5, Asia-Plus -- A nine-year-old Ismoil Hamroqulov was killed January 14 as a car VAZ-2108 ran into him, according to press service of Tajik traffic police administration.   

The accident took place yesterday evening in the Kolkhozobod district.  The accident was caused by negligence of the car driver Safarali Soliyev, the source said.  

The source added that one person was killed and one other was injured in two traffic accidents registered in the country yesterday.  

Over the past week (from January 8 to January 14), 24 traffic accidents were registered in Tajikistan.  12 people were killed and at least 19 others were injured in those 24 accidents.
