DUSHANBE, August 10, 2009, Asia-Plus  -- Officer from the OSCE Office in Tajikistan, Polish national Czeslaw Beliawski (phonetically spelled), has perished after falling while climbing rock in the Varzob district.

The tragedy took place on Sunday.  “Mr. Beliawski, who is a skilled rock climber, together with a group of other foreign citizens went to Varzob, 18th kilometer of the highway from Dushanbe to Khujand,” said the source at the Ministry of Interior, “He died after falling about 30 meters from the rock.”
