DUSHANBE, July 7, 2010, Asia-Plus  -- Report released by some Kazakh media yesterday that Tajik Ambassador to Kazakhstan Bahrom Kholnazarov allegedly met with traffic accident on the territory of Kazakhstan’s Karaganda region on July 2 does not correspond to the facts, Davlat Nazriyev, the head of the MFA information department, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.

According to him, Bahrom Nazriyev attended a meeting of the Interstate Council of the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC) in the Kazakh capital Astana on July 5.

“Representative of Tajik national air carrier, Tajik Air, in Almaty, Firouz Samiyev, and a technical staff of the Tajik diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan had traffic accident in Karaganda region on July 2 while moving from Almaty to Astana,” said the MFA spokesman, “Their Opel-Vectra collided with Toyota.  As a result of the collision, Firouz Samiyev sustained severe injury while his fellow traveler got off with slight injuries.”

Firouz Samiyev is currently at the city hospital in Karaganda and his is currently in serious but stable condition, Nazriyev stressed.
