DUSHANBE, September 6, 2010, Asia-Plus -- A blast rocked Dushanbe overnight, at around 24:00.
The blast occurred at the night club, Dousti, shattering the club’s glass furniture, a source at one of power wielding structures of the country told Asia-Plus today morning. According to him, fragments of homemade bomb were found on the blast scene.
At least ten people were injured in the blast, three of them sustained serious injuries, the source noted.
The office of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) in Dushanbe has instituted criminal proceedings to investigate a blast that occurred overnight at the night club. Criminal proceedings have been instituted under the provisions of Article 179 of Tajikistan’s Penal Code – terrorism, and an investigation is under way.
Yesterday’s blast comes just three days after suicide bomber in an explosives-packed car slammed into the Sughd regional body empowered to combat organized crime in Khujand on September 3, killing two police officers and injuring some 26 others.
