QURGHON TEPPA, August 26, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Russian servicemen has admitted causing a crash that killed three members of the same family.
The Bokhtar district court has begun consideration of criminal proceedings instituted against Igor Gordeyev, a serviceman of Russian military base deployed in Tajikistan, who is accused of violating highway regulation causing the death by negligence of two and more persons (Article 212 (3) of Tajikistan’s Penal Code).
On January 21, 2011, a heavy truck KamAZ driven by Igor Gordeyev went into oncoming traffic and collided with a Daewoo Sielo being driven by Abdulaziz Eshquvatov, said the source. Eshquvatov’s mother Shozodamo Yusupova, 64, his 25-year-old wife Gulnigor Abdukholiqova and their infant daughter Omina Eshquvatova died from multiple injuries.
The accident took place near the village of Ergash in Bokhtar district, Khatlon province.
Igor Gordeyev admitted at the court in Bokhtar district driving dangerously on the Qurghon Teppa-Dushanbe highway and causing the three deaths.
The next hearing is scheduled for September 7.
