DUSHANBE, December 26, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Migrant worker from Tajikistan has reportedly been killed in an arson attack in Russia’s Novosibirsk region.
The Tajik Migration Service’s office in the Russian Federation reports that the 29-year-old resident of the Tajik northern city of Panjakent, Askarjon Abdulkhairov, was killed in the arson attack in the settlement of Morskoy, Novosibirsk region on the night of December 20-21. “Two unidentified persons set fire to a wooden house, in which Askarjon was living,” the source said.
According to him, the prosecutor’s office in Novosibirsk’s Soverstkiy district has instituted criminal proceedings to investigate the incident and two persons have been detained on suspicion of having been involved in the arson.
