A 20-year-old shepherd was killed by a mudflow in Penjikent when trying to rescue his cattle.
A mudflow, which occurred Tuesday in Kosatarosh Jamoat of Penjikent region as a result of heavy rainfalls, took away 10 cattle and 55 small livestock, the regional police department for Sughd province told AP.
“Dead body of Jovid Hujamov, a 20-year-old shepherd from the given Jamoat who tried to rescue his cattle, was found in Soyi Kubur,” the police have said.
