Mudslide caused by yesterday’s heavy rainfall blocked access to drinking water in Quldara village of Khovaling region.
As reported by the Tajik Emergency Committee, a 20 meter high and 100 meter long mudslide also blocked the road to local grazing area. “Fortunately, no victims were reported,” the source has said.
Another mudslide occurred in Gori Kalon area in Shurobod region. “The mudslide blocked the bed of Tebolai canyon, which is formed by several sources. As a result we have an artificial lake there now,” the committee said stressing that the situation is under control.
