DUSHANBE, July 26, 2012, Asia-Plus -- Asia-Plus’s correspondent in Khorog reports the currently situation is calm in the city and ceasefire has been extended until 12:00 of July 27.
The authorities demand the handover of persons suspected of having been involved in the murder of General Abdullo Nazarov.
The authorities also demand that the barricades be dismantled n Khorog until 5:00 pm.
Meanwhile, militants themselves and residents of Khorog agree to hand over those involved in the murder of Abdullo Nazarov but only after withdrawal of troops from the city.
The correspondent also says that unknown persons are taking away satellite phones, which remain the only source of communication with the outer world from Khorog, from the population.
