DUSHANBE, September 7, Asia-Plus – Nurshed Mashrabov, the owner of the Korvon marketplace, has apologized to the vendors who lost their goods in Wednesday’s fire.
“I am very sorry that such an accident took place,” Nurshed Mashrabov told journalists.
He denied information that he allegedly was going to escape as baseless. According to him, he spent the whole night on the fire site.
According to him, some 2000 vendors have incurred losses.
Mashrabov is sure that the fire was arson.
He promised to rebuild all shops that were destroyed by the fire on his own. Mashrabov added that the vendors who had lost their goods would be exempted from paying rent and making other market payments during five years. Renting one square meter costs 20.00 somoni per month, Korvon owner noted.
“I can rebuild all the destroyed shops on my own, but I cannot compensate the vendors for losses,” Nurshed Mashrabov said.
