DUSHANBE, October 16, 2012, Asia-Plus  -- The Dushanbe traffic police department has lunched through investigation into the traffic accident, in which reporter for BBC’s Persian Service in Tajikistan, Iskandar Firouz, was badly injured.

Sherafgan Latipov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe traffic police department, says that “neither side involved in the accident has admitted guilt and is ready to dispute the preliminary resolution made by the traffic police officers.”

We will recall that Iskandar Firouz sustained serious injures on October 9 as Land Cruiser hit his Toyota Camry.

The accident took place in the evening, at around 8:10 pm, not far from Dushanbe’s Zoo.  Land Cruiser, driven by Ayomiddin Rahmiddinzoda, 22, hit Toyota Camry that was driven by Javonsher Firouz, son of Iskandar Firouz.

As a result of the collision, Iskandar Firouz and his son, Javonsher Firouz, sustained various injuries and were taken to the National Medical Center.  Nothing now threatens Javonsher’s life while Firouz Iskandar is still in serious health condition.

Latipov notes that according to the preliminary data, the Toyota Cruiser driver is guilty in the October 9 accident.  The driver, however, disputes this decision.
