DUSHANBE, September 23, 2014, Asia-Plus -- Officers from the Dushanbe police department detained the native of the city of Kulob, Alikhon Bozorov, 50 in Dushanbe on September 19 after he tried to rob a taxi driver of his takings threatening him with a hand grenade, according to the Interior Ministry press center.
“On September 19, at around 10:30 am, Alikhon Bozorov got into Opel-Saturn of Qodirjon Sultonov, 53, who is a self-employed taxi driver, and demanded money threatening him with a hand grenade,” said the source. “Since Sultonov did not have round sum, Bozorov made him drive to his home so that he would take his savings and give them to him. But when Bozorov saw many people near Sultonov’s home, he decided to run away.”
“When Bozorov was detained, a hand grenade was confiscated from him,” the source added.
