DUSHANBE, June 8, 2015, Asia-Plus – The former Deputy Interior Minister, Mahmadsid Juraqulov was killed on June 6 as his car collided with Chinese-made heavy truck Dulan in the Varzob district.
According to the Interior Ministry Traffic Police Department, the accident took place on the 30th kilometer of the Dushanbe-Khujand highway at 4:15 pm. “Jouraqulov lost control of his car and it collided with the Chinese-made truck. Juraqulov died on the spot,” the source said.
Mahmadsaid Juraqulov, 63, was retired in January this year for age reasons.
Jouraqulov served as Deputy Interior Minister in 2004-2005, after that he headed the Interior Ministry Organized Crime Control Department. His last position was the head of the INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB) for Tajikistan.
