DUSHANBE, October 27, 2015, Asia-Plus -- Several residential buildings have reportedly been destroyed by yesterday’s earthquake in the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO).
“In the Ishkashim district, two residential, buildings have been destroyed completely and four other houses are partially affected and in need of repair,” Orif Nozimov, a spokesman for the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense (CES), told Asia-Plus in an interview.
In the Roshtqala district, two houses were damaged partially and four other houses are in disrepair, Nozimov added.
No injured were reported, according to him.
We will recall that Monday''s magnitude-7.5 earthquake was centered in the mountainous Hindu Kush region, 76 kilometers south of Faizabad, the capital of Afghan Badakhshan Province, and 350 kilometers southeast of Dushanbe.
