One has received several stab wounds in his leg during a brawl between school students in Dushanbe, according to the Interior Ministry’s website.

The incident took place on October 27 at 10:30 am.  Four 11th grade students of one of Dushanbe’s high schools got into a fight, which included not only physical blows, but also involved one of them receiving several stab wound sin his leg,

The wounded student was hospitalized while the other brawl participants were detained.  Criminal proceedings have been instituted and an investigation is under way.

Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev has repeated raised the issue of brawls in the city’s high schools.

Speaking at a meeting of the Dushanbe mayor’s office in June this year, the mayor noted that mass brawls between school students is the result of the district police inspectors and employees of the city’s education system neglecting their duties.
