A resident of Dushanbe has been arrested on suspicion of double murder.

A 56-year-old woman and her 34-year-old daughter were found stabbed to death in their apartment in one of Dushanbe’s districts last Saturday, according to the Interior Ministry’s website.  

A 34-year-old resident of Dushanbe’s Sino district has been arrested on suspicion of killing the women.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the alleged murderer and an investigation is under way.
