Six people were killed on April 9 as two cars collided in Bobojon-Ghafourov district, Sughd province.
The Interior Ministry’s official website says the accident took place on the 312th kilometer of the Dushanbe-Khujand-Chanak highway Tuesday evening, around 9:10 pm.
The 32-year-old resident of the city of Istuqlol, Bustom Basharov reportedly lost control of his Opel-Vectra and it crashed into BMW driven by the 26-year-old resident of the city of Khujand Rahimjon Odinayev.
As a result of the collision, both drivers and four passengers of Opel-Vectra died on the spot.
The cause of the accident is under way.
On the same day, another fatal traffic accident took place in Roudaki district. The accident took place at around 9:00 pm. The 33-Year-old Alijon Mahmoudjonov lost control of his Ford and it ran over pedestrian, the 73-year-old Muzaffar Safarov.
As a result, the pedestrian was taken to a hospital in serious condition, while the driver died in a hospital.

On April 10, the 20-year-old resident of the city of Bokhtar lost control of his Mercedes-Benz-E-320 and ran over the 7-year-old Bilol Suhrobov.
The accident took place in Qumsangir jamoat of Jaihoun district in Khatlon province.
